Home at Last — and a Spark of Creation Ahead
After what feels like a long, winding road, I can finally say the words I’ve been dreaming of — I’m home.
This perfect-for-me custom little home has been years in the making — not just walls and windows, but a vision, a feeling, a space that reflects my heart. Yet, as life so often reminds us, even the most beautiful journeys come with their share of detours. There were a few unexpected twists — arriving to discover the water wasn’t yet connected, my lawyer changing offices right when I needed signatures, the threat of possibly being homeless for two weeks, and the moving truck I’d reserved never making its way back in time for my move. And when I thought I’d faced the last of it, my old landlord went quiet when I tried to arrange my final walkthrough.
It was chaos, laughter, stress, and disbelief — all rolled into one. But somehow, the pieces still found their way into place. I found a new truck at the last minute, the papers were signed, the water began to flow, and I stepped through my front door — exhausted, emotional, and utterly grateful.
Now, I wake each morning to light streaming through my windows, boxes finally unpacked, and a sense of peace that feels like the beginning of something truly special. I’ve been nesting, decorating, making this space my own — and with each small touch, it’s starting to feel like the dream I always carried quietly in my heart... a small eco-friendly home on my own property with a little stream and nature all around!
And with that grounding joy has come a spark of renewed inspiration. My sketchbooks are open again, ideas are swirling, and I’m so excited to share a peek into my upcoming cozy winter wear. This new with some recycled design pieced collection feels like a reflection of where I am now — cozy, imaginative, and full of wonder.
Oh, and a little fun fact before I go — not only do I design everything myself, but I also build and code my entire website. Every stitch, every div, every detail — built with love from the ground up.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for walking alongside me through every delay, every surprise, and every little triumph. The path here wasn’t perfect, but it led me exactly where I was meant to be.
Here’s to new beginnings, warm spaces, and something beautiful still on the way.
With love and gratitude,
Farrah
